I too have been disappointed and disheartened about the direction that education has taken, but I HAVE to believe that this mad pendulum will start to swing back to a more sane and effective form of teaching. When I get to the point where I can no longer hold out that hope, then it will be me submitting my resignation. I doubt that I will be as eloquent and heartfelt as you.
