Google will now send text messages to cell phones. On its site, you simply enter a phone number and select the service provider. Then you can enter your message and click send.
This is a great way to save on text messages if you don't have an
unlimited plan. Or, you can use it to send yourself a little reminder.
It's a handy little tool!

Remember, though, it still costs the person receiving if they aren't using an "unlimited" plan.
That's true. What came to mind though, was during the hurricanes, I attempted to contact a few people by sending a text message to their cell phones. I could only get through to those with Cingular. Of course, without power, Google wouldn't be much help either, huh?
Thanks, I just googled by and got the info I needed.
What if I don't know the provider of the recipient's phone number?
Is this google's sms service?
You're wonderful.
I like to use http://ohdontforget.com as an easy way to send text messages to any mobile phone.
